Eric Berry is a co-founder of Averin Capital, where he invests in the future of health — companies built where biology and technology meet.
He comes to investing as an operator. Eric co-founded TripleLift and led it as chief executive for a decade — a company that raised about $16 million and sold for nearly $1.5 billion. It was named one of America's fastest-growing private companies year after year, one of its best places to work, and earned him EY's Entrepreneur of the Year.
He began in science. As an undergraduate at MIT, he helped sequence and analyze the genome — work published in Nature. TripleLift, in turn, was built on computer vision and machine learning.
He lives in New York with his wife and two daughters. In an earlier life, he did standup comedy.
